In celebration of the anniversary, McGraw, 57, announced via Instagram on Friday, Nov. 15 that for the first time ever, Live Like You Were Dying will be available on a special edition vinyl.

"Can't believe it's been 20 yeas of Live Like You Were Dying," he wrote in his caption, while revealing, "We have it on vinyl for the first time ever!"

"I feel like I'm one of the people listening like I'm involved in it with the audience, not separate from the crowd," McGraw said in a quote about the fan-favorite song. "And when I look out and see families and couples holding each other and crying, I understand why, and that 'Live Like You Were Dying' means something to them and that they went through something in their lives and this song was cathartic for them, and it's that way for me as well."

"It's something we share in that moment and I become as emotional as they are," he continued, before adding, "I feel like 'Live Like You Were Dying' is a gift."

Unsurprisingly, fans were overjoyed to hear the news, as one person said that the beloved country track still gives them "goosebumps" 20 years later.

"Seems like only yesterday you released this ever so beautiful song!!" someone else commented.
