TikTok's gone crazy for this colour-changing lipstick

We can always count on TikTok for the scoop on the hottest new beauty products, and that's exactly what's happened with Ciaté London's new heat-reactive lip cream.

In collaboration with Selling Sunset star, Christine Quinn, the UK makeup brand has launched a limited-edition lipstick that has sent TikTok into meltdown.

Christine Quinn's Heat Transforming Lip Cream comes in two unique shades - a nude Drama Queen and a bold red Ca$h Fetish - which use patented technology to change the colour, depending on temperature.

The most popular colour, Ca$h Fetish, glides on with a silky, matte texture and gives a bright red, velvety finish.

Drink an ice-cold drink or apply cold to your lips and the bright lip colour turns a dark burgundy.

Transformation sensation

As soon as the dramatic lip cream caught TikTok's eye, it went viral around the world.

"Omg, did you see that?" Tik Tok star, Victoria Lyn tells her 5.2 million followers.

"Starts out as a beautiful bright red."

"When it gets cold, it changes to a deeper red."

"OMG, my mind is blown!"

She then shows her audience that by rubbing her lips to generate heat, the bright red colour is restored.

Her followers could not believe the results.

"Those look so cool," one wrote.

"Wow, that's so awesome," another said.

It's not only TikTok stars who love the unique product.

"When it gets cold, it changes to a deeper red. smooth 5-star rating on the website, with beauty buyers praising the results.

"Beautiful colour and love the innovative design of the heat-transforming element," a shopper wrote.

"Applies smoothly and feels comfortable on; lasts for ages and the colour is so pigmented!"

The vegan lip product is described as a lightweight, transfer-proof cream infused with nourishing actives such as synthetic beeswax to keep your lips hydrated while retaining long-wear colour.

Apply one even coat, let dry completely for one minute and take a sip of a cold drink or bite of ice cream to see the transformative results.

Royal tick of approval

This is not the first time the UK makeup brand has been at the centre of an online frenzy, with Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice's makeup artist Hannah Martin revealing Ciaté London's Glow To Blush is their go-to for events.

She even shared a photo of her and the royal princesses on Instagram at the Queen's recent Platinum Jubilee.

"What a fantastic weekend celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee," Hannah wrote.

"An honour, as always, to be on glam for Their Royal Highnesses Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie."

The post sparked lots of excitement online, with Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend, Cressida Bonus, showing her support with three love hearts.

James Corden's sister, Ruth Corden, shared in the celebration: "What fun!"
