Thomas Rhett Gets Face Tattoo in New Video—Did It Impress Teddy Swims and Jelly Roll?
Thomas Rhett appears to be taking inspiration from some of his inked-up musician pals.
The "Die a Happy Man" crooner recently shocked fans with a glimpse of his latest music video on Instagram, which showed him tattooing one of his cheeks with the name of his wife, Lauren Akins.
But even though fans assume that his new tat is just temporary ink for the music video's sake, Rhett, 34, still wanted some approval from some fellow musicians who are known for their facial tats.
"What do we think," Rhett wrote in the comments while tagging Post Malone, Teddy Swims and Jelly Roll, who each have some ink on their faces.
As of writing, the "Lose Control" artist was the only one who's replied so far, writing back to Rhett, "i think send it bro hell im hurt you aint invite me."
Some of Rhett's fans, however, were just praying that the tattoo wasn't real. But many others thought it was a sweet nod to his wife, temporary ink or not.
"Now that's dedication," one fan wrote in the comments of the clip, which previewed the music video for Rhett's song, "After All The Bars Are Closed."
"1M valentines bonus pts unlocked," someone else quipped, while another commenter said the country crooner was unlocking a "new standard" for husbands everywhere.
"Teddy, Posty and JellyRoll must be rubbing off 😂😂😂," a different Instagram user joked in the comments.
Another person wrote, "Bro really said 'oh y’all want Posty vibes?'"
Someone else even came up with a new nickname for the "Marry Me" singer, dubbing him "Thomas Rhett Malone 😂😂😂."
