This Set Of Lego Female Judges Is So Inspirational

An American woman has celebrated the achievements of women in the justice system by making an inspirational set of female judges – completely out of Lego.
The set includes a Supreme Court bench and lego versions of four exceptional American women including Sandra Day O’Connor, the first female justice of the US Supreme Court (who was appointed in the 80s) and three female judges who have since joined her on the bench (Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Ruth Bader Ginsburg).

Each female judge is pictured in her traditional robes and comes with accessories (including gavel, laptop, law library and newspaper). Maia Weinstock, the woman who created the set, said that she felt compelled to make something that celebrated just how far women have come in the legal profession, as well as “to encourage girls and women to work towards high positions in the US judicial system,” Weinstock said on her website.
Inspired already? Us too. The bad news is you can’t purchase the set. (Yet.) Weinstock originally submitted the set to Lego Ideas – the arm of the company that accepts submissions from builders and fans – but was rejected for contravening the company’s “no politics or political symbols” guidelines.
But Weinstock will be submitting an appeal to Lego and keeping her fingers crossed that the company might reconsider her designs.
