After long-time member Anthony Field kicks off a jingle from Uber Eats’ famous line, ‘tonight, I’ll be eating’, Simon hilariously cuts him and his band off.

“I’ve already eaten,” he says curtly.

Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins then responds melodically: “Oh grey Wiggle, dinner is better when we eat together!”

The ad ends with the Brit declaring that he “now hates music”.

“I like the grey wiggle,” red Wiggle Simon Pryce remarks.

Fans online have praised the unlikely pairing, declaring the new video as “brilliant”.

“Best. Uber Eats ad. Ever,” one person commented.

“Simon hates living with them, this is great!” another wrote.

A third added: “This is so awesome.”

“Come on Simon, you can’t hate music when you made One Direction,” someone else pointed out.

Uber Eats have regularly paired unexpected celebrities together for their advertisements since 2017.

Previous duos include Rebel Wilson and Ruby Rose, Jonathan Van Ness and Simone Biles, Patrick Stewart and Mark Hamill, and Lee Lin Chin and Ray Martin.

Earlier this year, Cardi B joined Mike Myers and Dana Carvey in a Wayne’s World commercial for the Super Bowl.

Kim Kardashian also made headlines in 2019 when she ate with Magda Szubanski’s Kath and Kim character Sharon Strzelecki.

The global megastar reportedly made $2 million AUD from the campaign, which saw her wearing a netball outfit and trying to pronounce the word ‘noice’.
