The last time the group appeared in a movie together was the 1997 hit Spice World in which they played themselves.

The film was a huge success, written by Simon Fuller’s brother Kim Fuller, was made on a budget of $36.07 million and made $217.16 million at the box office.

The film featured a glittering lineup including Elton John, Jennifer Saunders, Elvis Costello and Bob Geldof among others.

Spice World sets a high standard for the new film to achieve, but with the original lineup on board fans have high hopes for the new film.

The film is expected to be released in 2020.
