The Project airs awkward Hemsworth brothers blunder: 'Oops'
Fans of The Project took to social media to mock the show on Monday night after they mistakenly shared a photo of Chris Hemsworth when they meant to share a photo of his brother Liam.
Host Waleed Aly was narrating the segment and was speaking of past Neighbours stars who have gone on to reach Hollywood stardom when the mistake was made, including Liam.
"It also served as a finishing school for a succession of Aussie stars," Waleed said as stars flashed across the screen.
"Kylie Minogue, Guy Pearce, Russell Crowe, Margot Robbie and Liam Hemsworth are some of the big names that cut their teeth on Ramsay Street," he added.

However, as Liam's name was read out, a photo of Chris Hemsworth during his time on Home and Away appeared on screen.
Chris never appeared on Neighbours, but starred on the rival soap as Kim Hyde from 2004 to 2007. Liam starred on Neighbours as Josh Taylor between 2007 and 2008.
Neighbours, which has been running for 37 years, has an uncertain future and could end for good later this year.
Fans of The Project were quick to point out the mistake with one Twitter user writing, "They just showed Chris Hemsworth when it should [have] been Liam."
"You guys know that was Chris Hemsworth, not Liam yeah?" another added.
"I know my Hemsworth's and I'm pretty sure that's @chrishemsworth not @liamhemsworth on @theprojecttv," a third wrote.
"I was going to say, I don't think Chris was on Neighbours," someone else agreed. "Definitely Home and Away."
"Oops, wrong Hemsworth," another added.
Liam recently celebrated his 32nd birthday with Chris sharing a shot of his younger brother looking ripped with the caption, "Happy birthday @liamhemsworth hopefully this is the year you finally get in shape and take care of yourself 😂💪To help with your transformation I’m gonna gift you 10% off a @centrfit membership #familydiscount love you."
The Centrfit account also jokingly commented, "We've got a 10-week muscle-building program you could definitely get some help from..."
"Imagine being that out of shape, disgraceful," one fan joked.
"This must be true brotherly love," another added.
