If you're a fan of The Ordinary and their low-cost clinical skincare formulations, there's a treat in store for you.

Their new hair care range is about to launch - and it's based on the same principles as their skincare.

With ingredients designed to focus on scalp care, it's about creating a regime for your scalp, as you do for your skin. They believe that if you look after your scalp, your hair will be healthy and happy.

"Maintaining optimal scalp health by protecting the skin's barrier, alongside effective cleansing and moisturising, is very important," Prudvi Kaka, Chief Scientific Officer at The Ordinary's parent company, Deciem, said.

"We are providing solutions that can be combined to offer cleansing, conditioning and hydration, but can also be used as stand-alone products."

The three-product range launches on March 8, but you can add to your name to the waitlist right now, so you can get your hands on the products as soon as they're available.

Here's what to expect:

Step 1: Cleanse with The Ordinary Sulphate 4% Cleanser for Body and Hair, $12.80

This is a gentle but effective cleanser formulated to remove dirt, grease and product residue from your scalp and hair.

It contains Sodium Laureth Sulphate-2, which is a biodegradable surfactant.

Gentle enough to be kind to the scalp, it also cleans your hair efficiently.

It can be used on your hair and body with minimal chance of irritation.

Step 2: Condition with The Ordinary Behentrimonium Chloride 2% Conditioner, $12.80

This has been formulated to leave your hair feeling light and soft.

It contains behentrimonium chloride to make hair instantly look shiny and feel soft.

It's worth noting that while conditioners make hair look shiny and in good condition, true hair health comes from a happy scalp.

It helps protect and hydrate the outer layer of the scalp, and takes its cue from The Ordinary's skincare moisturiser, Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA, $9.80.
