The Grinch fans spot editing fail in Christmas movie: 'Never noticed'

Fans of the Christmas classic The Grinch have spotted an odd detail in one of the scenes from the movie.

The 2000 film starring Jim Carrey brings the iconic Dr Seuss Christmas tale to life, following the story of the reclusive Grinch who tries to ruin Christmas for the town of Whoville.

To celebrate the festive season, one fan shared a TikTok of one of the scenes from the movie pointing out an editing fail that many people had not noticed before.

"So every time I watch The Grinch I notice this one little mistake they made where they forgot to either put his contacts in or they forgot to edit them afterwards so just Jim Carrey's brown eyes are just there," she said sharing a clip from the film.

She then shares the next scene from the movie, where the Grinch's eyes appear to transform back to green.

"This always catches my eye so Merry Christmas, I'm sharing this," she captioned the TikTok.

Many fans were stunned by the editing fail, with one saying it was "so bizarre".

Others however believed the editing fail may have been intentional.

"Maybe they meant to do that [to] give it a cartoony effect," one suggested.

"Literally feels like it was intentional because it looks like cartoon pupils? I don’t know. Just kinda feels right where it is to me," another offered.

"I was wondering why this happened. Kinda fits the scene though," a third concluded.
