The Golden Bachelor is rumoured to be coming to Australia: 'Ground-breaking'

Producers are said to be in the 'final stages' of bringing the show Down Under.

After a successful first season in the US this year, The Golden Bachelor is rumoured to be coming to Australia in 2024.

The reality show is a spin-off of the traditional TV dating series targeting an older demographic with a more mature-aged lead and contestants.

Production company Warner Bros. Australia first sparked speculation about a local version of The Golden Bachelor earlier this month when they shared a post about “seeking single seniors for an exciting new TV series”.

“We are looking for fun, active, and outgoing male seniors aged 60 or over who are divorced/widowed and open to meeting the next love of their life in our ground-breaking new series,” they wrote.

“We want to hear from you or anyone who would like to nominate someone they know to take part in the show. We want to celebrate love at every age and show that when it comes to finding love and romance, age is just a number!”

Meanwhile, a source recently confirmed to Daily Mail that producers are in the “final stages” of bringing the show to Australia.

“They're setting the stage for a show that's less about high-drama antics and more about genuine connection and companionship,” they shared.

“Producers are looking for their perfect male lead before they put out a call for female suitors to match.”

The show received its highest viewership in three years, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and was praised by fans for its inclusivity and diversity.

Meanwhile, The Bachelor Australia recently announced that the upcoming 11th season will premiere on December 3 starring model Ben Waddell, former NRL player Luke Bateman, and Brazilian influencer Wesley Senna Cortes.
