As we start to see some warmer days - and we're spending more time at home than ever - now's the time to invest in some fans so you're cool for when the weather really heats up.
Buy now and you won't be scrambling to find stock when summer is properly here. There's a lot of choice, so we've trawled through all the options and found some of the best fans around to keep you cool:
Desk fans
Desk fans are small, convenient, and can also be used in places like the bedroom if you need some air circulating in a small space.
The Heller USB Jet Engine Desk Fan is just $18 - and a great way to keep cool when you're working from home. It's small but mighty - with two speed settings and a 90º adjustable tilt, it's USB powered and ultra quiet so it doesn't disturb you. It has a 12 month warranty too.

Stay cool in style with the Heller copper metal desk fan, $69.95. It looks great perched on your desk, has three speed settings, is tilt adjustable and has an oscillating action for optimal air flow, as well as a safety fan guard.
Tower fans
Tower fans are ideal for tricky shaped or small spaces. They often come with lot of features, are easy to clean, and easy to move around.
The Sunbeam Super Slim 121cm Tower Fan, $139 is stylish and discreet, but still provides enough power to cool a whole room. It has a blackout night mode so you don't have bright controls shining at you while you're trying to sleep, three speeds, a remote control holder and a 70 degree oscillation.
The Devanti Portable Misting Fan, $137.95 feeds water to the fan blade to create a mist when the fan is on, making it ultra refreshing. It has three different speeds, a wheeled base so you can move it easily, and a remote control so you can bump up the mist from far away.
If you're after an air purifier to go with your fan, the Dyson Pure Cool Link Tower Purifying Fan, $799, is definitely worth a look. It detects air quality, and filters out pollutants with a HEPA filter, before circulating the clean air round the room. In winter, it has a 'backward' air flow so you don't get the effects of the fan as well. If you're after something a little cheaper, the Dyson Cool Tower Fan, $569, is available without the air purifier, and looks identical.
Pedestal fans
Pedestal fans are often very light so great if you're after something portable. Because they have big blades they're often effective in larger spaces, so great for open plan living or big rooms with high ceilings.
The Sunbeam Infinity 40cm Pedestal Fan, $143.65, can oscillate vertically, horizontally, or in a figure of eight shape. It has a programmable timer of up to 10 hours, so you can choose when you want it to turn on and off.
The Goldair PT 40cm Champagne Gold Pedestal Fan, $119 is a chic addition to any room. It has three speed settings, adjustable height, tilt and oscillation, and a contoured neck to give it a touch of interest.
Hand-held fans
Sometimes, nothing else will do apart from a fan you can carry with you the whole time.

It has a bluetooth headset and charger, three speeds, and comes in a protective case. It also comes in blue and green. Perfect for days at the beach or when you can't catch any breeze.
