Let's face it: Dating apps are a hot mess. Sure, there are some lovely people on them, but you've got to do a LOT of swiping to find them. Most people who've used the apps have endured more than a few unpleasant dates while searching for that special someone.

Perhaps you agreed to meet a Bumble match for drinks after talking on the app for a few days. When they showed up, they were clearly already super drunk. They kept apologizing for being visibly inebriated, stating they had a couple of drinks before meeting to calm their nerves. They couldn't hold a conversation to save their life, and after they pounded two more drinks, the date became unbearable. You politely excused yourself, and as they tried to walk you out, they stumbled and face-planted on the floor. You asked the bartender to call them an Uber and bolted out of there.

Maybe you started chatting with a cute woman on Tinder and wanted to meet. You agreed to go for a walk in the park the following day. Not even 10 minutes into the walk, your date started talking openly about her husband. Her profile mentioned nothing about being married or in an open relationship. You paused to ask her if her husband knew she was on a date. She replied, "He's about to!" then started furiously waving at a guy reading on a nearby bench. Her husband ran over, and they got into a massive fight. You told the guy you had no clue she was married, then turned around and beelined for the parking lot.

Or, perhaps you were super excited to meet up with a guy you met on Hinge after chatting on the app for two weeks. You got to the restaurant, and though he texted you that he was waiting, you didn't see him anywhere. Finally, a guy who looked nothing like the Hinge guy and was at least 15 years older approached you. He went in for a hug and said he was excited to finally meet you, but you jumped back and asked him what was happening. He admitted he used photos of his nephew on his Hinge account and lied about his age. You ran outside, hailed a cab, blocked the guy on Hinge, and headed home.
