Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce both had a very tough Super Bowl Sunday, starting as the “Blank Space” singer’s very first appearance on the jumbotron incited loud boos from the crowd. After a visibly confused Swift laughed off the less-than-warm welcome, she watched as the Philadelphia Eagles devastated Kelce and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs with a 40-22 win at the Caesars Superdome. Swift and Kelce’s visibly distraught expressions during the game and their quick getaway post-loss quickly sparked speculation that the disappointing Super Bowl outcome might fuel relationship issues rather than the rumored proposal Swifties were hoping for. However, sources say that while the Chiefs loss “was upsetting for everyone,” the football player is leaning on his girlfriend as he gets over this “difficult time.”

Moments after the game ended, a visibly downcast Travis was spotted making his way to Swift’s $3 million private suite. While both Kelce and Swift didn’t make an appearance at the Chiefs after-party, the “Style” singer was seen taking her private jet back to Nashville on Monday instead of sticking around in Kansas City. Despite this, a source recently told Entertainment Tonight that the couple are as tight as ever as they navigate their latest hurdle.

“Taylor and Travis are still going very strong. She has been supportive of him since his Super Bowl loss.” the source shared, revealing that the couple is “now focused on relaxing and taking time off” now that Kelce is done with his football season and Swift is done with her Eras Tour.

"He put his all into it and is trying not to take the loss too hard," the source added about Kelce's mindset post-loss. "They are both grateful that the Chiefs made it to the Super Bowl this year."

Meanwhile, another source told People that the pair are looking forward to having “a break together” and are focusing on that instead of the game, which was “upsetting for everyone.” However, they hinted that Swift might be back in the stands next football season, sharing, “she truly loves watching Travis play.”

Now, the couple will "talk about their future" as they enjoy some downtime. “Their lives have been a whirlwind since they first started dating,” the insider added. “Things seem great between them, and they’re incredibly happy together.”
