How Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Celebrated Their First Thanksgiving Together
"It was very festive and special," says a source.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are likely feeling extra grateful this year, as they got to spend their first Thanksgiving together since they started dating.
According to a source at People, the couple spent the holiday together with the Swifts—including Taylor's mom Andrea and dad Scott—hosting the Kelce family in Nashville. "Taylor and Travis had a great Thanksgiving together with their families," the insider shared, before recalling how the pop star was in South America for her Eras Tour last year. They added, "It's the first Thanksgiving they celebrated together."
Sharing more details, the source continued: "Taylor and her family were excited to host the Kelces this year. [Travis' brother] Jason was there with his family and kids too. It was very festive and special."
The news of Swift and Kelce's joint holiday might come as a surprise to some after the NFL star's mom Donna said that the "Karma" singer probably wouldn't be joining the Kelces for Thanksgiving. "I don't think so. She's kind of busy right now. She still has her tour to do," she said when asked if Swift would be in attendance during an appearance on Today. "Football is always the holidays," she added, noting that they had not planned a big dinner. "I think we’re just going to be at the football game."
Indeed, they were. The next day, Swift traveled to Kansas City to cheer on Travis alongside his mom at Arrowhead Stadium, wearing a red quarter-zip Louis Vuitton sweater, black skinny jeans, and matching platform ankle boots. Accessory-wise, she sported oversized hoop earrings and a new blinged-out necklace with Kelce's jersey number "87" accented in diamonds and red rubies.
