Josh Allen Says Playing After Getting Engaged to Hailee Steinfeld 'Felt Good' and 'Felt Free'

Josh Allen is feeling "free" after popping the question to Hailee Steinfeld.
After he and the Buffalo Bills put up a huge win over the San Francisco 49ers, 35-10, the quarterback was asked during his post-game press conference about how he felt during the game, following the engagement.
Allen, 28, replied simply, saying he, "felt good. Felt free."
And later during the Sunday Night Football telecast, NBC reporter Melissa Stark revealed that she spoke with Allen about proposing to Steinfeld, and that he was “all smiles” during the conversation.

Stark said she questioned Allen about if Steinfeld was genuinely surprised by the Malibu proposal, Allen replied “very,” saying the actress had no idea he would be getting down on one knee.
She added that Allen and Steinfeld aren't sure of their wedding plans.
"They haven’t set anything yet but still figuring out," Stark said.
On Friday, Nov. 29, the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse star, 27, and Allen, 28, announced their engagement via joint Instagram posts after getting engaged on Nov. 22.
The couple shared a romantic photo on Instagram together of Allen down on one knee in front of Steinfeld, with both surrounded by an arch of pink and red roses in front of a body of water. They captioned the post with their engagement date.

A source close to the couple tells PEOPLE that their families are excited about the engagement news. "They’ve been head over heels from the start," the source says. "Their families are thrilled."
Steinfeld and Allen were first linked in May 2023 shortly after rumors circulated that the NFL star had called it quits with then-girlfriend Brittany Williams. A source later confirmed their relationship to PEOPLE in May 2023, sharing at the time that the new couple was "having fun."
The pair took a big step in their relationship by going Instagram official in July 2024, when the quarterback posted a wholesome snap of himself and Steinfeld embracing in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
