Taylor Swift Pauses Concert to Congratulate Newly-Engaged Couple After Spotting the Proposal

Taylor Swift performs at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium on June 7, 2024, in Edinburgh, Scotland.

After inspiring tons of proposals during her Eras Tour shows, Taylor Swift was able to witness one couple's fairytale moment for herself.

The 34-year-old music superstar performed the song "cardigan" during her latest concert in Edinburgh, Scotland on Friday, June 7, when she spotted two people in the audience at the exact moment they got engaged.

In a video of Swift's reaction to the sweet proposal shared on X, the "Fortnight" songstress smiled at the couple before speaking into the mic to tell the rest of the crowd what she saw.

"I love performing this entire show in the sunlight because I'm pretty sure I just, like, saw somebody get engaged over here," said Swift, who is used to performing in the dark during her concerts.

The 14-time Grammy winner pointed to the newly-engaged lovebirds to confirm that a proposal just happened and immediately began cheering once she realized it was true.

"You have no idea I never get to see that 'cause it's like dark, usually at night, but it's not right now, so congratulations," she said to the pair, exclaiming, "I just saw that whole thing!"

"Ugh, man that's amazing," she gushed before adding, "Thanks for doing that at my concert. That's a big moment. Huge!"

Another video angle captured the moment from the right behind the couple, showing the two newly-engaged women as they embraced right after popping the question.

In that clip, you could see the women's reactions to Swift having spotted their proposal, and the happy couple looked equally joyful and overwhelmed to be getting a shoutout from the performer herself.

"THIS IS EVERYTHING," one X user gushed in response to the video.

"When they find this video it will be the best thing ever!!!" someone else celebrated, adding that they are "So happy for them."

Talk about a real-life "Love Story!"
