Taylor Swift Fans 'Might Faint' Over 'Surreal' New Eras Tour Update
After a record-breaking, nearly two-year-long stint, concert film, and book, Taylor Swift's Eras Tour is getting another chance at life—and fans can hardly hold it together.
One of the "Style" songstress' beloved tour costumes, which fans lovingly refer to as the "cupcake dress," has been installed in a small display case at Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame.
The gown features a voluminous skirt made up of multiple layers of varying shades of purple and glitter galore, and was one of several options fans might see during the Speak Now era of the massive setlist.
It joined Swift's koi fish guitar in the exhibit—an instrument that Swift had previously removed from the case to use when "Long Live" was included on the setlist, around the time her rerecorded version of the album was released.
One fan named Presley Hawkins shared a brief video clip of the dress in its display on TikTok, simultaneously sending fans spiraling over the idea that the costume had officially reached historical status for the superstar while sparking an idea for Swift's next big project.
"What her eras tour outfits are already going on display 🥺," one TikToker wrote sadly, with the OP admitting they were "shocked" to see it when visiting the Country Music Hall of Fame.
"NOOO ITS ALREADY IN A MUSEUM," another wrote emphatically, while someone else asserted that it simply "can’t already be in the museum 😭."
"Nooo it’s tooo soon!" another commenter mourned, pointing out they're "still grieving😭" as it finally set in for someone else that the Eras Tour "is actually over."
"I might faint... 😵," another social media user replied to the "surreal" news, which had many others "actually crying" over the "nostalgia" setting in "already."
The display also inspired a new career opportunity for Swift as fans begged for a dedicated exhibit, suggesting that there "needs to be a special eras tour museum."
"WE NEED [an] eras tour exhibition tour that goes [through] all the countries the eras went to," someone else suggested, while many speculated they "would immediately start crying" if they got to see pieces from the tour "that close."
"Ok I’m booking a flight to Nashville," several others started making plans to see the Eras Tour relic, and we'd like to get in on a group rate!
