Taylor Swift Fans Came to Travis Kelce's Defense Over a Shady 'Jeopardy!' Clue
We'll take bad blood for $200.
What is...bad blood? That could have been the answer to a shady Jeopardy! clue on a recent episode that took aim at Taylor Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce. This week, the game show roasted the Kansas City Chiefs tight end over his relationship with the pop star, and her fans were not having it.
The clue—which was worth $200 and was in the category “The TV Show in Question”—read: “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? is hosted by this man who’s maybe more famous as a BF than a 3-time Super Bowl champ.”
"Who is Travis Kelce?" contestant Derek Hieronymus quickly answered, to which host Ken Jennings confirmed he was correct.
The moment ended up going viral with Swifties flocking to social media to defend Kelce. “Jeopardy was NASTY with travis kelce today,” one wrote, while another commented, “Jeopardy with some Travis Kelce shade tonight." A third chimed in, "Oh jeopardy with the tayvis call out.”
While many found the clue to be offensive to Kelce—who has plenty of his own accomplishments—the NFL star previously revealed that he didn't mind being Swift's arm candy. “It’s the life I chose, I guess,” Kelce said on CBS Mornings back in September. “I have fun with it. It comes with the territory of wanting to do fun activities like this and signing up for cool sponsorships like this and endorsements,” he explained during the interview, which was filmed on the set of his new Pepsi commercial.
In addition to his hosting gig at Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, Kelce also picked up an acting role in Ryan Murphy's new FX series Grotesquerie, in which he co-stars alongside Emmy-winning actress Niecy Nash.
