Will Taylor Swift Attend the 2024 MTV VMAs?
With the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) fast approaching, many of Taylor Swift’s fans are wondering the same thing: Will the music superstar be in attendance?
So far, the “Cruel Summer” songstress has not publicly revealed whether her plans for the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 11, include a stop by the UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y., to attend the annual awards show. But she did attend last year, and the ceremony tends to be a big one for the pop icon.
Swift nabbed 10 initial nominations for this year’s ceremony, leading all other nominees in the first round of awards announced by the VMAs in early August. When event organizers announced four additional social categories, Swift, 34, snapped up two additional nominations in the Song of Summer and VMAs Most Iconic Performance categories.

In 2023, Swift received 11 nominations at the VMAs and took home nine trophies, tying the record for the most awards won by one artist on the same night.
Most of the nominations that the “Anti-Hero” songstress received this year are linked to her song “Fortnight” and its corresponding music video, both of which involved guest artist Post Malone. The song was released as the first single for her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, which she unveiled back in April.
Swift is currently on a break from her hit international Eras Tour after wrapping up a string of concerts in Europe and the United Kingdom. She most recently performed in August for five nights at Wembley Stadium in London, England, and now is not expected to be back onstage until her tour resumes in mid-October in the U.S.
In the meantime, many Swifties believe they have a pretty good chance of spotting the “Love Story” singer at Kansas City Chiefs games as she supports her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The Chiefs officially kicked off the 2024 NFL season on Thursday, Sept. 5, with a game against the Baltimore Ravens, a matchup that Swift attended in person.
