“Congratulations Sylvia and Pete! This is fantastic news. He’s a beauty. Well done and love the names,” Today presenter Alex Cullen wrote.

“He is so beautiful, Sylvs. And by the looks of things so ready to kick a footy with Oscar. Huge congrats to you and Pete. And now the fun really begins. So much love to all of you,” The Project’s Lisa Wilkinson wrote.

“Such a cutie !!!! Can’t wait for cuddles,” designer Rebecca Vallance wrote.

Sylvia and Peter are already the proud parents of one-year-old son Oscar, who was born in February 2020.

In October last year, Sylvia opened up on her fertility struggles on Today, revealing she underwent iVF treatment in order to have Oscar.

Sylvia was interviewing mother Brooke Campbell, who was speaking about the "daunting and overwhelming" decision a family must make when there are leftover embryos they no longer want to use.

While trying to hold back tears, Sylvia said, "Brooke, I know from my personal experience with IVF that so much goes into having a successful embryo and having something sitting there that gives you the opportunity to make life for your family.”

She also told The Australian Women’s Weekly that her second pregnancy was ‘spontaneous’.

“We hadn't planned to go down that path so soon, but having had not an entirely easy path the first time around you can't be anything but thankful and grateful to have fallen pregnant this way,” she said.

“I'm not sure how I'm going to navigate the teenage years - that might be where Pete really has to step up - but I'm not worried about it.

“I know it will be a lot to keep up with two turbo little boys, but for now I'm just embracing the beautiful chaos.”
