Sydney Sweeney Wore Rihanna-Coded Sheer Lace and Leather for a Rare Date Night

Lace and leather has always been a classic outfit combination, but Rihanna made it an iconic choice when she attended Dior's fall 2022 fashion show in a completely sheer lace-trimmed slip dress and a leather coat while pregnant.

Soon, other celebrities followed in her footsteps with Kylie Jenner stepping out in a naked dress with a leather jacket for dinner in Beverly Hills, and Bella Hadid opting for an avant-garde version of the look at the 2022 Met Gala. Now, enter Sydney Sweeney, who hopped on the lace and leather trend for a rare date night with her fiancé Jonathan Davino in New York City.

On Saturday, the actress was photographed exiting the Royalton Park Avenue Hotel, wearing a sheer black lace corset with a leather blazer and matching high-waisted pants in an oversized silhouette. 

Adding even more leather to her look, Sweeney threw on a pair of patent, pointed-toe boots with gold detailing. A fluffy black evening bag and black cat-eye sunglasses rounded out her accessories. As for beauty, the Euphoria star wore her blonde hair down in loose waves with a middle part and finished off her glam with a light pink lip and rosy cheeks.

Earlier that same day, Sweeney pulled a sartorial 180 and wore a winter white look that included a cream-colored ribbed knit puffer jacket with a white T-shirt underneath, medium-wash cargo jeans, and bright white stiletto boots. To top it all off, she covered her crimped hair with a white shearling bucket hat. Talk about range.
