Sydney Sweeney spills on her 'affair' with Glen Powell: 'He’s the man of my dreams'

The Anyone But You star had some laughs during her Saturday Night Live monologue.

Sydney Sweeney had some fun during her opening monologue on Saturday Night Live, using the late-night sketch show to address the rumours that she and her Anyone But You co-star Glenn Powell had been romantically involved.

The 26-year-old actress tackled the speculation head-on saying: “The craziest rumour I’ve seen is that while I was filming Anyone But You, I was having an affair with my co-star Glen Powell.

“That’s obviously not true. Me and my fiancé produced the movie together and he was there the entire shoot."

Sydney has been with her partner Jonathan Davino since 2018 and the couple got engaged in 2022.

"She continued, “And I just want to let everyone know that he’s the man of my dreams and we’re still together and stronger than ever. He even came here tonight to support me.”

The White Lotus star then asked if the camera crew could pan to her fiancé in the crowd, with the cameras cutting to Glen himself instead.

Laughing, Sydney told the audience that her real partner was in her dressing room.

While Sydney and Glen's undeniable chemistry may have caused a few raised eyebrows (and potentially some awkward conversations with their real significant others) it has proven to be a huge asset at the box office.

Anyone But You, which was filmed in Sydney, has grossed a staggering $200 million at the worldwide box office with audiences heralding the pair as having 'saved' the rom-com.

Speaking to Variety's Marc Malkin on the red carpet at the SAG Awards, Glen said the duo are "definitely trying to find the next thing."

“When you find somebody that you really jive with, Sydney is so easy to work with and so fun," the actor said. "We’re definitely trying to find the next thing. "Please send us all the scripts you got. You know we’re here for it."

Meanwhile, Sydney also used her time hosting SNL to poke fun at her recent box office flop Madame Web.

“I am so happy to be here," she began her monologue. "My name is Sydney Sweeney. You might have seen me in Anyone But You or Euphoria.

"You definitely did not see me in Madame Web.”
