Sydney Nicole Gifford Welcomes First Baby with Fiancé Nathan Sloneker: 'Waited 9 Months for This'

Syndey Nicole Gifford is officially a new mom!

The influencer, 24, has welcomed her first baby with fiancé Nathan Sloneker, 24, announcing the news on Instagram on Jan. 18. Gifford shared a photo of her baby boy, revealing his name in the caption.

"Roman 🤍," she wrote next to a photo of her son wearing a beanie that reads "Roman" and a sweater that also reads "Roman."

'"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.' Romans 15:13," Gifford added.

On Tuesday, Feb. 4, the newly minted mom shared a Reel on her Instagram, holding her newborn baby in his nursery. "Waited 9 months for this 🤍," she wrote in the caption.

In August 2024, a rep for the couple confirmed with PEOPLE that the two were expecting their first child.

"We had been hoping to start our family," Gifford said at the time. "We found out about the pregnancy on our one year anniversary of our engagement!"

She added, "With recently moving from Texas back home to Minnesota near both of our families, it was perfect timing for us to have a baby and we are so blessed to have gotten pregnant quickly!"

"Pregnancy has been quite the journey. My first trimester came with a lot of nausea and food aversions. The baby is loving breakfast food and sweets...and nothing else," Gifford joked. "I'm feeling a bit better now that I'm in the second trimester and am so excited not to have to hide my bump anymore!"

Gifford announced her engagement to Sloneker in May 2023 on Instagram, with a series of black-and-white photos.

"Because Sydney Sloneker has a nice ring to it," she wrote in the caption. "engaged to my best friend I’m speechless!!! overwhelmed with so much love and can’t wait to share this new chapter in my fiancé eraaaa."

She added, "the most special part is Nate used 2 diamonds from my mom’s engagement ring and put together the most perfect ring for me that means the world 🤍 overwhelmed!!! i love you @sloneker13."

In 2024, Gifford had filed a lawsuit against Alyssa Sheil, a fellow TikToker, whom Gifford claims copied her "neutral, beige and cream aesthetics" and "featured the same or substantially [similar] Amazon products" that she promoted, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

Sheil responded to Gifford's lawsuit in another court document, obtained by PEOPLE, pushing back against Gifford's claims and asking the court to dismiss the case.
