Sweet Pit Bull Displays Remarkable Patience With Foster Pups Big or Small

It takes a special soul to not only take in foster pups but also make sure they feel safe and protected—like they're home. Just ask Baloo, the sweetest Pit Bull whose mission in life is to give incoming fosters the love and support they need.

In a recent Instagram video shared by Baloo the Bunny-Eared Bully (@bully.baloo), the foster brother shares his love for everyone, big and small, and it's quite a precious sight to see.

"The CEO of immense patience," the caption begins." Baloo truly is one of the most incredibly patient dogs I’ve ever met, which makes him such a stellar big foster brother! He loves his tiny, annoying puppies and loves his big goofy adult fosters just as much. I’m so lucky to call him mine!"

The short clip shows the Bully lying with "fosters the size of his head" and "fosters three times his size." The very good boy doesn't flinch when either pup barks at him or sits on top of him. In fact, he keeps his composure with both just the same, which is why he earned the title "CEO of immense patience!"

He has quite a following, with more than 263,000 people taking note of this sweet boy. Many applaud Baloo for his perfect temperament, even when it causes him discomfort.

"This Bully has the patience of a Saint," one person wrote. "Zero personal space. Sweet Baloo," another said.

One thing's clear: this former shelter dog has found his calling as a foster sibling, and he deserves all the extra pets!

Preparing Your Dog for Foster Pups

Obviously, Baloo is pretty amazing with his foster siblings, but your dog can be, too, with a little preparation. Olympic Peninsula Animal Rescue says to first prepare your family and home for incoming fur babies by getting everyone in the family on the same page about expectations. Also, ensure your dog is in their best possible health so as not to spread any illness between one another.

Next, have all the necessary things ready and waiting (crates, food bowls, toys, bedding, etc.) and pet-proof your home, especially if fostering puppies. The site recommends keeping fosters and their supplies separate from your dog—preferably on hard floors for easy cleanup—but only you know if your dog's temperament can handle it.

Baloo is one of a kind, for sure, but with a little patience, you and your dog can welcome fosters into your home, too!
