Former The Block star Suzi Taylor's fall from grace
She rose to fame as a contestant on The Block in 2015, but since then former Penthouse Pet Suzi Taylor has been in news for all the wrong reasons.
The 49-year-old Aussie model is this week accused of luring a man she met on Tinder to a Brisbane home where she and another man allegedly robbed and assaulted him.
She has been refused bail, on charges of extortion, deprivation of liberty, and assault.
Controversial The Block contestant Suzi Taylor
The former reality star’s partying ways already saw Channel Nine scale back many of her promotional commitments during the show’s time on our televisions.
But even then she refused to apologise for her behaviour telling The Courier Mail she was “just out to have a good time and enjoy life.”
“I’ve been a party girl since I can remember. When you work in this industry you become friends with other people in the industry and you get invited to parties. I don’t have any regrets,” she said back in November of 2015.
Suzi Taylor seeks professional help
As her season of The Block was coming to an end, the mum-of-three did reveal she was seeking professional help, the culmination of personal stress going through a divorce, and the pressure of filming the taxing renovations show all becoming a too much.
Suzi had been in the headlines again that week after lewd photos of her dancing topless on a boat after Crown Oaks day in Melbourne were published by news.com.au, something she address in the Grand Finale of the series.
“I think the biggest thing with a problem in your life is you have to acknowledge it and own it and so that’s what I’ve done and I’ve sought help and Channel Nine and everyone have been amazing they’re like my family here in Melbourne and I can’t thank them enough,” she said in a statement alongside her best friend Yvonne Cosier, who was her renovating partner on the show.
“And I encourage everyone else out there who is going through any sort of depression in life or serious problems to go and seek help and get better.”
Prior to this week’s developments she shared a cryptic post on Instagram earlier this year where she encouraged her followers to “take the time to re-centre and find your essence”.
“The only person that can defame your character is you,” she shared on the social media platform in July.
“In my experience being injured is not what defines us, what defines us is how we heal.”
Suzi Taylor linked to Geoffrey Edelsten and Greg Inglis
Since her time on the show, the busty mum has also been rumoured to be in various romantic relationships.
Suzi strongly denied any kind of fling with 73-year-old Geoffrey Edelsten in 2016, after the businessman reportedly told another news outlet that he was in a relationship with the brunette.
The model then also spoke exclusively to Yahoo Lifestyle earlier this year, after she spent a weekend with retired NRL star Greg Inglis.
In an exclusive video she revealed what happened when retired NRL star Greg Inglis ‘went missing’ in May and spent a weekend with her at her Brisbane mansion.
She said the pair “acted like brother and sister”, and she was simply “there as a friend”.
“He wanted some solace. He wanted some normal companionship,” she said in the interview.
Suzi Taylor faces court
Suzi appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday where she was refused bail.
Queensland Police allege Taylor demanded money from the man, and when he refused, another man, 22, came into the room, assaulted him and held him against his will.
Taylor is then also alleged to have assaulted her date before the duo forced the man to make an online transaction, stole his bank card and withdrew money.
