It’s time for Survivor host Jeff Probst to “go tally the votes” again!

Survivor returned with a two-hour premiere for season 47 on Sept. 18. For one of the 18 new castaways, the “adventure of a lifetime” was cut very short, when Jon Lovett — a Pod Save America co-host and Barack Obama’s former speechwriter — was voted out by his Gata tribemates.

Throughout their 26 days on Fiji, the contestants will vote off each other at tribal councils, likely filled with blindside after blindside, as they vie to earn the coveted title of Sole Survivor.
