Sunrise hosts debate Kate Middleton's whereabouts: 'Where is she?'

The stars of Sunrise seem to have taken a particular interest in the ongoing 'missing' Kate Middleton saga that continues to develop, again questioning the royal's whereabouts during Tuesday morning's program.

Mystery has been swirling around the Duchess of Cambridge as she hadn’t been seen in public for two months, before it was reported this week that she attended her brother James Middleton's wedding in France.

James, 34, married French analyst Alizée, 32, in the French village of Bormes-les-Mimosas on the famous Côte d'Azur, after having initially postponed their nuptials twice due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"The mystery of the disappearing Duchess appears to have been solved thanks to Instagram," newsreader Edwina Bartholomew announced as she shared a report on the wedding, adding they "managed to slip that one under the radar".

Daily Mail also reported that along with Kate, the private ceremony was attended by Prince William as well as James' other sister, Pippa, and her husband James Matthews.

But fellow presenter Mark Beretta wasn't satisfied, quickly jumping in asking: "However, where is Kate? Where is she? We haven't seen the photos?"

"Do you have a theory?" Edwina asked.

But Kochie was quick to interject pointing out that the happy occasion wasn't about the Duchess.

"It's not about her. It's about James and his gorgeous bride," he said.

"Of course," Mark hit back, "but she's got to be in the group there somewhere, otherwise we still don't know where she is!

"She still hasn't appeared," he added. "I'm just saying we haven't seen her, we don't really know where she is."

Co-host Natalie Barr said she loved Mark's enthusiasm on the subject: "Good journalism! You're a hound."

She herself had joined the speculation last week, weighing in on Kate's whereabouts and saying: "She's pregnant".

When questioned by her fellow hosts about how she knows, Nat continued: “I’ve no idea, I’m just adding to the rumours.”

Nat also said that the Duchess could be ‘vomiting her little heart out’ due to hyperemesis gravidarum, which Kate has suffered from in the past.

Hyperemesis gravidarum is a severe form of morning sickness, which can lead to hospitalisation.

Kate Middleton was so ill withhyperemesis gravidarum during her first pregnancy that it did land her in hospital.

“She could actually just be having a life,” Nat concluded.

However, it’s not the first time Kate has taken a break from the public eye but that was only 41 days, when she took a holiday to Wales.
