Stu Laundy confirms he appears in leaked video featuring suspicious substance
Former Bachelorette star Stu Laundy has confirmed he appears in a leaked video showing NRL star Corey Norman encouraging another man to snort a suspicious substance.
“We just enjoyed a few beers that day,” Sophie Monk’s ex told Daily Mail Australia.
The 14-second clip, which emerged on a NRL memes Facebook page on Monday, showed Laundy and rugby union star Kurtley Beale sitting on a couch and laughing while Norman encouraged an older gentleman to consume a white substance.
Describing the substance as “actually so harmless it’s laughable”, millionaire Sydney pub baron Laundy told the publication it was used as a “prop” in the man’s story telling.
“He was telling this particular story about a bloke called Kevin and it required some props. “I believe [he] got some flour from the kitchen to aid in his story telling.”
According to The Daily Telegraph, the man Laundy was referring to is a 77-year-old man known as “The Chich”.
“Well yes it was cocaine,” he reportedly told the publication.
“It is no big deal. I think it is something against Corey,” he added.
It’s been reported the video emerged online on Monday to target St George Illawarra star Norman.
A NRL spokesman confirmed it was previously aware of the video and Norman had been sanctioned for it when playing for Parramatta back in 2016.
