Once a Pearson always a Pearson.

Sterling K. Brown is sharing how he's been in touch with his former This Is Us costars, Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia, who are both grappling with incredible loss amid the Los Angeles wildfires that broke out earlier this month.

Brown made the comments during a recent interview with Extra alongside his Paradise costar James Marsden, telling the outlet he had reached out to both Ventimiglia and Moore. "Talked to Milo, talked to Mandy. Talked to them both. It’s difficult. They’re just very much in the midst of all of it. It’s one day at a time," he shared.

Moore shared in an Instagram post on Jan. 9 that the Eaton fire, which to date has destroyed over 14,000 acres, 9,418 structures, and killed 17 people, significantly damaged her home and neighborhood in Altadena, writing, "We were able to park and walk up our street to bear witness to all the loss. Miraculously, the main part of our house is still standing."

She continued, "For now. It’s not livable but mostly intact. We lost Taylor and griffin’s studio with every instrument and piece of equipment they’ve ever owned. We lost our garage and back house. Everyone we know lost everything. Every house on our street is gone. My in laws. My brother and sister in law- 6 weeks from welcoming their first baby. Our best friends. Feeling weird survivors guilt. We love this community and will do everything we can to help rebuild and support. Thanks for everyone for checking on us and offering us help. Altadena strong."

As for Ventimiglia, he and his pregnant wife, Jarah, lost their Malibu home in the Palisades fire, which has burned 23,448 acres, destroyed 6,770 structures, and killed 11. A CBS Evening News crew filmed Ventimiglia returning to the remains of his home on Jan. 9. "Heavy," the actor, choking up, told the outlet of the experience of seeing the rubble with his own eyes. "You start thinking about, man, it hits you so quick. You start thinking about all the memories in different parts of the house and what-not, and then you see your neighbors' houses and everything around and your heart just breaks."

Ventimiglia said he and his wife knew their home was lost because they watched it burn via their security cameras.

"There's a kind of shock moment where you're going, 'Oh this is real and this is happening,'" he said. "And then at a certain point you turn it off because what good is it to continue watching. We kind of accepted the loss."

During the interview with Extra, Brown also touted his new series, Paradise. Per Hulu, the thriller is set in a "serene, wealthy community inhabited by some of the world’s most prominent individuals. But this tranquility explodes when a shocking murder occurs and a high stakes investigation unfolds."
