"Good news!" he said enthusiastically in one selfie-style video, where he lifted a filthy kitchen pot. "My pot that I made all the hummingbird nectar in survived! Look at this!" He lifted the lid, showing the charred remains of the last batch of nectar stuck on the bottom.
He shouted out the brand, All-Clad, in the caption—and the company was quick to send its condolences, promising "a new set" soon.
In another video, he found several intact hunks of rose quartz, the base of a hummingbird feeder, and his children's playset.
"Definitely going to keep this," he said. "That's amazing."
He also felt like his grill was "salvageable," even after falling from the burnt-out balcony, and showed off what appeared to be a wooden garden bench that survived.
A handful of plastic toys and a concrete fountain also made it through the flames, in addition to a few more crystals and Pratt's kettlebells. Nearby was a set of metal workout equipment, "some" of which he thought could be salvaged.
"A little oil on that, we'll be good to go," he joked about another piece of equipment that still stood.
Unfortunately, a 3,000-pound crystal did not make it, shattering into several smaller pieces.
While Pratt didn't share his plans for the broken crystals, many followers encouraged him to keep them, with one suggesting, "When crystals survive but break like that. It means that the area is now cleansed and you’re ready to move forward. If you save any and take them I would spiritually cleanse them first. ❤️."
Others suggested he turn them into pendants and sell them to help raise funds for fire relief.
"Collect those crystal pieces and add it to your new home part of the foundation pit the smaller pieces in a vase to remember you will over come anything," someone else suggested.
Pratt described his neighborhood as "like a war zone" as he dodged downed power lines while walking up the roadway on foot, showing his followers the ravaged neighborhood while they hiked toward their own address.
On the way, he spotted a small row of houses that were still standing and appeared to be untouched by even the ash of the fires, speaking in amazement, "Wow, those houses all made it? That's crazy. Good for them."
"God, they're lucky," he said while passing another intact house still under construction.
Fans were touched by his level of empathy in light of his family's loss, calling his excited commentary for others "beautiful."
"No one deserves to lose everything. Life can really change overnight," someone else wrote. "I hope you receive nothing but kindness and empathy."
