‘Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen’ Netflix Series Sets Camila Morrone & Adam DiMarco To Star, Weronika Tofilska To Direct

Camila Morrone (Daisy Jones & The Six) and Adam DiMarco (The White Lotus) have closed deals to star in Netflix’s upcoming series Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen. Deadline revealed exclusively last month that the duo were in negotiations for the Haley Z. Boston-created horror drama which comes from Stranger Things creators The Duffer Brothers and Hilary Leavitt, via their Upside Down Pictures’ overall deal with Netflix. Emmy nominee Weronika Tofilska (Baby Reindeer) has come on board to direct four episodes.

Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen is described as an atmospheric horror series. Set at a wedding, it follows a bride (Morrone) and groom (DiMarco) in the week leading up to their ill-fated nuptials. That’s not a spoiler – just read the title…

Boston serves as executive producer and showrunner. The Duffers and Leavitt executive produce alongside Andrea Sperling via her overall deal with Netflix. Tofilska also is an executive producer.

Morrone earned an Emmy nomination for Prime Video’s Daisy Jones & The Six. She recently played the title role in the movie Marmalade and will next be seen in Season 2 of The Night Manager. She is repped by WME, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Hansen Jacobson Teller.

DiMarco is known for his role as Albie in Season 2 of HBO’s The White Lotus. He will next be seen in Benito Skinner’s Prime Video series Overcompensating. DiMarco is repped by UTA, Characters Talent Agency and Canopy Media Partners.
