New “Snow White” preview says heigh-ho to Gal Gadot's spooky Evil Queen transformation and menacing Magic Mirror

See the elder form of Gadot's Evil Queen as Rachel Zegler breaks new ground as Snow White in the Disney film's new trailer.

Say 'heigh-ho!' to reimagined versions of iconic Disney characters, as the studio has unveiled a new preview of fresh takes on time-tested Snow White staples in the live-action version of the 1937 animated classic.

As it charts the titular character's (Rachel Zegler) clash with her foreboding stepmother, the Evil Queen (Gal Gadot), the new Snow White trailer also debuts a menacing look at the villain's Magic Mirror, who appears to the notorious evildoer after her majesty inquires, "Who is the fairest of them all?"

Later, the clip offers clear, full-body views of the dwarfs, with Doc, Grumpy, Sleepy, Happy, Sneezy, Bashful, and Dopey encountering Snow White for the first time, after she takes up residence in their cottage amid the Evil Queen's plot to kill her.

Later in the new trailer, the clip shows off the dwarfs' journey into the jewel-crusted mines, as well as Zegler's soaring vocals near the end of the clip.

The preview ends with a spooky preview of the Evil Queen's second form, commonly known as the "Old Hag," with a juicy poison apple popping up, too.

"I'm sorry, my dear," Gadot's "Old Hag" asks Snow White at the end of the footage. "Did I frighten you?"

Zegler has faced racist backlash to her casting in the role of Snow White, with detractors citing the fact that the original Germanic 1812 fairy tale by The Brothers Grimm describes the character as a girl "with a skin as white as snow."

The West Side Story actress has repeatedly spoken out against such criticism, including in a 2022 interview with Entertainment Weekly.

"The reality is that the cartoon was made 85 years ago, and therefore is extremely dated when it comes to the ideas of women being in roles of power and what a woman is fit for in the world," Zegler said at the time. "And so when we came to reimagining the actual role of Snow White, it became about 'the fairest of them all' meaning who is the most just, and who can become a fantastic leader."

Snow White is in theaters on March 21. Watch the new trailer above.
