“Sister Wives”: Kody Brown Found Out Christine Was Getting Married After Seeing Her Wedding Announcement at His Sister's House
Christine Brown tied the knot with David Woolley on Oct. 7, 2023, in Moab, Utah
Kody Brown found out about his ex-wife's wedding in an unexpected way.
On the Sunday, Jan. 12 episode of Sister Wives, it was revealed that Kody discovered his ex-wife, Christine Brown, would be tying the knot with David Woolley when he saw her wedding announcement at his sister's house.
"I knew that David and Christine were going to get married because I saw a wedding announcement at my sister's house," he said with a laugh while sitting next to his legal wife, Robyn Brown. (Kody was also previously "spiritually married" to ex Janelle Robin and is legally divorced from his first wife, Meri Brown.)
"I'm really fine. I'm resolved with it," he added. "This wedding happening is really none of my business at this point. Christine doesn't need my permission or anything like that. I'm happy for them and I wish for them all the happiness that life can give them."
Kody was "spiritually married" to Christine for 25 years before they split in November 2021. Christine later legally wed Woolley in "a dream come true" wedding ceremony attended by 330 guests in Utah, on Oct. 7, 2023, after announcing their engagement in April of that same year.
"Christine left with a purpose, she wanted to find her soulmate," Kody continued. "It is weird because you know she's my ex-wife but it's like that's none of my business anymore and it's more like kudos."
Earlier in the episode, he told a producer: "I'm really excited for her. I've only met David once, and everything that I can gather is it's moved pretty fast. But sometimes you just know. I hope they're happy, and I hope someday the time comes where we're just comfortable being around each other."

Robyn also wished the best for the couple.
"I hope Christine and David can be happy," she said. "That's all I'm going to say."
Christine said she's happy to have legally married a monogamous man.
"There's a sense of calm that comes with the security of knowing that I'm David's only wife and I'm the only woman that he's ever going to love," Christine shared in the episode during a confessional.
This echoes what she told PEOPLE in August 2022.
"I want a partnership. I want a guy who actually loves me and wants to be with me intimately," Christine said. "I will be a monogamist from here on out. Polygamy is not for me anymore."
