‘Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown Shares Solemn Message 6 Months After Son Garrison’s Death
Janelle Brown of Sister Wives posted a solemn message in memory of her son, Garrison, who died earlier this year at age 25.
The reality TV star marked the six-month anniversary of Garrison’s death by sharing a sweet photo on Instagram on Thursday, Sept. 5, showing her embracing her son. In the undated photo, Janelle had a big smile as Garrison wrapped his arms around his mom and kissed the side of her head.
"6 months ago you went away,” Janelle wrote in her heartbreaking Instagram caption. “You come up in my photo memories almost every day. Sometimes it doesn’t seem like you’re gone. And then I remember I won’t be getting a call or text from you and it all comes rushing back.”
Garrison’s body was found at his home in Flagstaff, Ariz., in early March. A couple of months later, the local coroner’s office said the son of Janelle and fellow Sister Wives star Kody Brown died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
“I know you fought hard but in the end you just couldn’t stay,” Janelle’s Instagram caption continued. “I love you so much and will see you again when my journey is done.”
Janelle, 55, is one of four wives to whom Kody has been “spiritually” or legally married in the popular TLC show. Kody shares 18 children with his three ex-wives—Janelle, Meri and Christine—and only remaining wife, Robyn. Garrison was one of six the family patriarch had with Janelle.
In addition to facing the devastation of Garrison’s death, the Brown family has dealt with internal strife as the relationships between Kody and his wives frayed in recent seasons.
Season 19 of Sister Wives will premiere on Sunday, Sept. 15, at 10 p.m. ET. on TLC and streaming on Max.
