Showpo launching $199 wedding gowns for brides on a budget
Aussie brides on the lookout for a chic gown on a budget have just had their dreams come true because Showpo are launching wedding dresses for as little as $199.95.
The Australian online retailer has given us a glimpse of some of the dresses on offer - and they’re beautiful.
The new bridal collection is launching in May and will feature eight bridal gowns in sizes 4 - 20 ranging in price from $199.95 to $349.95.
Guests can also get in on the action, as the retailer is also releasing wedding guest outfits and accessories.
The first of the two dresses to come in at the lower end of the price point is the ‘Vows For Life Gown’, which is a simple strapless gown that hugs the body and the second dress is the lace ‘Fall In Deep Gown’, which has a deep v-back and pretty train.
The ‘Put A Ring On It’ gown comes in at a higher price point of $249.95 and features ornate button details on the side and a sheer top.
Australian brides will no doubt welcome the cheaper alternative to traditional bridal stores.
According to Easy Wedding’s Australian Wedding Industry Report for 2018, the average cost of a wedding dress for Aussie brides is $2,552.
NSW brides spent the most out of everyone else in the country, forking out an average of $3,039 on their gown, while brides in the ACT spent the least, splashing out $1,410 on their dress for the day.
