Sharon Stone Fans Demand Answers After ‘Unexpected’ Casting Hiccup
Sharon Stone says she was supposed to be in the new film Another Simple Favor before her casting was "unexpectedly" pulled.
The bold revelation came on Thursday evening when the 67-year-old actress commented on an Instagram video discussing an apparent tiff between Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick, two of the film's leading ladies.
In the clip, E! News hosts Lonnie Marts and Eyal Booker break down a video of Lively and Kendrick at SXSW promoting the recently-released film, in which some fans are convinced that Kendrick "shaded" her co-star with her response to being asked what it's like to work with the Gossip Girl alum again.
"Oh, you know," she said.
While the jury remained undecided on whether Kendrick's brief response was an intentional dig or not, Stone popped in with another big claim.
"I LOVED being cast and removed from my role unexpectedly for no reason at all," she wrote beneath the March 13 upload. "LOVED it 👏👏👏👏.

Immediately, fans demanded answers.
"what???" one top-liked comment asked. "why????"
"excuse me?" a second shared in disbelief.
"WHAT?! Who does that to a LEGEND like you??? 😡" a third demanded to know.
"QUEEN. I wasn’t gonna see this movie, all the more reason not to," another suggested.

Unfortunately, Stone didn't share any other details about the surprising casting hiccup–like a reason for her allegedly "unexpected" removal from the film.
Obviously, with Stone's statement now going viral and being reposted on other social media platforms, the direct requests for an explanation have only grown. As of writing, neither Kendrick, Lively nor anyone else who worked on the film have addressed the claim.
But the outlet did see Stone's comment and reached out with another even more simple favor, inviting Stone on the show to share her story. "There’s always a spot for you in the sauna if you wanna come talk about it!!" Booker wrote.
