Shane Warne says he'll 'always love' ex Liz Hurley

Shane Warne has opened up about his ex Elizabeth Hurley, admitting he’ll always have a soft spot for his former flame.

The 49-year-old Australian cricket star told Lorraine Kelly of ITV’s Lorraine talk show he will ‘always love’ the 53-year-old British actress and model, whom he split with in 2013 after a two-year engagement.

“Who knows what the future holds. There’s a difference between in love with someone and loving someone,” he said during his television appearance where he promoted his new book No Spin.

“I’ll always love Elizabeth but I don’t think we’ll ever get back together.”

Shane and Liz dated for three years, after first meeting in 2010 at the Goodwood Races in England.

Previously Shane and and ex-wife Simone Callahan were trying to save their marriage after rekindling their relationship the year before and Liz was estranged from her ex-husband, Arun Nayar.

“It wasn’t something that she or I did wrong, it just fizzled out,” Shane explained in his latest interview when asked about the reason behind their breakup.

The sports star emphasised there was no blood between the pair who are still very much friends, and that their children even speak to each other years after the split.
