'What We Do in the Shadows' Season 6: Premiere date, time, cast, how to watch final season

"What We Do in the Shadows," the vampire comedy mockumentary series inspired by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi's movie of the same name, is coming to a close after six seasons.

The 11-episode Season 6 promises to tie up some loose ends for our supernatural friends and their lives in Staten Island while also remaining enjoyable for brand-new viewers, co-executive producer and writer Paul Simms told several news outlets.

At the end of Season 5, we saw a once-again-human Guillermo (Harvey Guillen) choose to give up his long-awaited status as a vampire. In Season 6, we can expect to see him grapple with finding a new life purpose, leaving the vampire house to get a more traditional job. Meanwhile, viewers will meet a new character, the long-forgotten roommate Jerry who was previously in a 50-year "super slumber."

With the vampires facing their own existential dread after realizing they hadn't accomplished much in Jerry's absence, they will also give typical 9-to-5 jobs a try, presumably with disastrous results. The new season also promises the appearance of Baron Afanas (Doug Jones) in a less decrepit, never-before-seen light.
