Selena Gomez Says Her Little-Known Birthmark Is Boyfriend Benny Blanco's 'Favorite' Thing About Her

"I never really cover it up," the star shared in an intimate chat with Instagram creators

Benny Blanco is a big fan of Selena Gomez's birthmark.

The singer and actress, 32, revealed her music producer boyfriend's "favorite" feature on her — and it's a detail that she says not many fans have noticed.

In partnership with Instagram, Gomez participated in a love back-to-school themed virtual chat with an intimate group of creators on Wednesday, Sept. 4. During the conversation, the Only Murders in the Building star called out a birthmark directly under her eyebrow.

"I never really cover it up," she said. "I don't know if anyone's noticed it before but it's right on my eyebrow. Sometimes I'll use concealer to cover it up, sometimes I won't. It's actually my boyfriend's favorite thing about me."

Gomez also told the group that she feels "prettiest" without makeup.

"The paparazzi doesn't seem to get that," she explained. "When I am everyday me, I'm not wearing that much because I do feel really beautiful sometimes and I just don't want to focus too much on it. And my job entails a lot of [makeup.]"

The star also opened up about building self-confidence through her beauty brand, Rare.

"I see what you guys see and I see people who have the most perfect skin and it's like, 'Wait, can makeup really do that?'" she said. "And sometimes it's just your self. It's what actually you are... that's exactly what we want to do at Rare is highlight the things that make you you."

Gomez and Blanco, 36, confirmed their romance in December 2023, before making their red carpet debut at 2024 Emmys in January.

During a May appearance on The Howard Stern Show, the producer said he saw marriage in the couple's future.

“You are some boyfriend, you’re knocking it out the park," said host Howard Stern. "I see love here, I’m predicting marriage.”

“You and me both,” replied Blanco.

“You got a ring?” asked Stern, 70.

"I don’t have anything. I got no shoes on!” admitted Blanco with a laugh. “I gotta get my act together.”

When Stern asked Blanco when he plans to propose, the musician said, “When I look at her … I’m always just like, I don’t know a world where it could be better than this.”
