Yahoo Lifestyle Selena Gomez Dropped a Sweet Nod to One of People’s “Sexiest Men Alive,” Benny Blanco
It’s almost time for People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive reveal, and as we count down the days to see who the magazine bestowed with the iconic title, Selena Gomez is celebrating her man Benny Blanco’s inclusion in the issue. The music producer officially made the list, sharing his rules for being a hot gentleman (because, you know, chivalry isn’t totally dead). In the spread, the “I Can’t Get Enough” hitmaker presents Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizzas on a tray in luxe clothing and poses poolside with cocktails.
Of course, Selena showed some love for her boyfriend—who she’s been dating for more than a year—with a sweet nod on her Instagram Stories. “Not only do you love me unconditionally, you always get me my Taco Bell Mexican pizza,” the Only Murders in the Building star wrote, reposting one of the photos taken by Ssam Kim for the issue.
Benny shared eight of his personal tips for being a sexy gentleman with the mag, like learning how to cook, dressing with confidence, and treating his mother like a queen. The music producer also opened up about how he approaches first dates, which he believes should be experiences.
“Whatever the date is, you want your partner to leave and be like, ‘Oh my god, I’m calling all my friends. This was the craziest thing. We were on the back of a tractor trailer flying and he had me spinning out the...’ It’s got to be something insane because you want to leave an impression. The person’s going to be going out on a bunch of first dates, and you got to secure your spot,” Benny told the publication.
He continued, “I try to create a moment in time because everyone’s fucking busy, everyone has so much work to do, everyone’s so stressed. If we can just sit back and forget everything for an hour to four hours—if it’s a good date, five—then things are good. Don’t you leave a date sometimes and you’re like, ‘Oh my god, what the hell? Time flew!’”
As for his relationship with Selena, Benny candidly gushed about his connection to the star. “I’m a real morning person. It’s my favorite time to spend with Sel, because we both wake up really early. It’s like our moment before the rest of the world wakes up,” he shared. “I have a true best friend that I get to do everything in the world with, and every day is the best day of my life.”
