Inside Selena Gomez's Lavish Date Night With Benny Blanco

He shared one of her most over-the-top surprises.

Fresh off of being selected for People’s 2024 Sexiest Man Alive issue, Benny Blanco is giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at his relationship with Selena Gomez. While the power couple haven't kept their feelings for each other a secret, from PDA-packed red carpet appearances to gushing social media posts, the music producer confirmed that they also both love leaning into the romance of it all behind closed doors. According to Blanco, Gomez plans the most lavish date nights – but she’s also down for some Taco Bell and chill.

In the People interview published Nov. 11, Blanco opened up about life with his “true best friend,” raving about how “every day is the best day of my life” since the couple started dating in 2023. While they love spending slow mornings together, which the musician called “our moment before the rest of the world wakes up,” Blanco revealed there’s nothing low-key about their date nights.

"I go all out for every date. We go all out for each other," he said, before sharing one of the Rare Beauty founder’s most epic surprises. "One time Sel was like, 'Oh, I want to take you on a date.' We drove somewhere, and she had rented out a whole botanical garden for me,” he said.

He also lauded the “Love On” singer for her thoughtful gifts, revealing, "The first time me and Sel were really going to be long distance for a while, she made a bear that when I pressed its hand, it said, 'I miss you so much. You're going to be okay. I'll see you when I get back.”

“She's very good at gifting,” he said, adding the couple prefers homemade presents instead of store-bought ones. “She does the same thing as me: Most of our gifts, we make them for each other."

While the Only Murders in the Building actress might think extravagantly when planning dates, she’s also down for a laid-back evening consisting of her favorite fast food.

"She also likes something so simple,” Blanco revealed. “For Valentine's Day, I got her Taco Bell, I made her movie-theater nachos, I found her favorite pickles from Texas and I deep-fried them for her. Then [I had] all her candies and Hot Cheetos."

Gomez also playfully referenced her love of the Tex-Mex chain as she responded to Blanco's People spread, "Not only do you love me conditionally...You always get me my Taco Bell Mexican pizza" in an Instagram Stories post.
