Miranda Hart gave Selena Gomez some tear-inducing praise.

On the Oct. 11 episode of The Graham Norton Show, the British comedian, 51, revealed that she was inspired to share her own health journey after watching Gomez’s My Mind & Me docuseries.

Gomez, 32, grew visibly emotional and began to cry a bit as Hart told her this. The two appeared on the talk show alongside Ncuti Gatwa and Zoe Saldaña, who also had emotional reactions to Hart’s words.

"When I saw your documentary on Apple [about] your illness struggles, I was thinking, 'Do I share?' You know, 'Is this something I should do?' Because it feels quite vulnerable," Hart told Gomez, whose doc from 2022 charted her struggles with confidence and body image issues, suicidal thoughts, her diagnosis of bipolar disorder and her life with lupus.

"I watched [Gomez's] documentary, and I just thought, 'Absolutely yes.' And that's what kept me writing,” she continued. ”So the fact I'm on this show with you … To witness somebody in the pain that I was in for different conditions. But we know what a chronic condition is like and it's always rumbling there, and I know what it's like in a very different way."

The Miranda actress continued to explain that they did not have the same experience as she was not a pop star playing at arenas, like Gomez, however she has participated in high-profile appearances.

"I was backstage at the BBC, you know, trying to go on, not knowing whether to go on," Hart said.

"It's amazing and I think she's incredible,” she added of Gomez. The comedian then broke the heartfelt moment with a joke: "Now back to me."

During the interaction, Gomez appeared touched by Hart’s words and, at one point, turned to her Emilia Pérez costar Saldaña to hide her face. She also reached out and held Hart’s hand over Gatwa’s lap for a brief moment, before quietly thanking her at the end of her comments.

Gomez reflected on her six-part documentary on a SXSW panel in March, saying, "There was a lot of people that cared about me more than I cared about myself that really wanted me to do things I wasn't ready for. I had my rock bottom, and I had to do it in my time."

Gomez added that she feels she is "in a much better place now."

Meanwhile, Hart recently released her latest book, I Haven’t Been Entirely Honest with You, which is "packed with hard-won wisdoms and gentle truths," according to an official synopsis.

"Basically, I have had an unexpectedly difficult decade — there have been surprising joys, but also deep revelations and challenging lows," the description reads. "I shall be honest about those, because what I discovered in the difficult times were my, what I call, treasures."

In the book, she includes insight into her recent marriage and her experience battling Lyme Disease.

Hart recently shared an Instagram post to squash a misconception about her new book. "The focus has naturally been my diagnosis and perhaps some misunderstanding that I say I have cures for chronic conditions. I don’t. It’s a story of all the pieces of the puzzle that helped me free myself to be less stressed and more wholly and freely me," she wrote.

"For me that was a contribution to some physical recovery. But it wasn’t a cure. I hope anyone else who feels in a difficult place or feels unable to be who they are for fear of what others think or say, may find their way to freely living the beautiful brilliant person they are. We all are. The deeper meaning of the title was — I haven’t [been] entirely honest with myself. That’s my story."
