As 'And Just Like That...' season 3 begins filming, take a lock back at the original series

The third season of And Just Like That… officially started filming on location in New York City this month, and photos of Sarah Jessica Parker and the rest of the cast on set have already started popping up online. Fans of the series have been eagerly analyzing the casts' wardrobe, quickly identifying dresses by famed British designer Ossie Clark and Simone Rocha — just like they did when Sex and the City was on the air.

The original series was an undeniable hit from the start when it premiered on HBO back in 1998. But it wasn’t until around its third season that it really became a cultural juggernaut — and significantly upped its fashion game. By the time the cast reconvened to film season 4 in 2001, fans’ eagerness to see what Carrie Bradshaw would be wearing had skyrocketed, leading to tons of on-set snaps of Parker proliferating both online and in the media.

In fact, interest was so rampant during the filming of the 2008 movie that photos of Carrie in her Vivienne Westwood wedding dress and of a pregnant Charlotte (Kristin Davis) actually spoiled some of its key plot points.
