Scott Jennings Pulls Cringiest Stunt On CNN And People Aren't Laughing

Scott Jennings tried levity on CNN’s “NewsNight” Tuesday — but it backfired. (Watch the video below.)

In his closing words, the news network’s prominent GOP voice chose to comment on reports that President-elect Donald Trump plans to install Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) as secretary of state. The move would place Rubio with other Trump loyalists in the Cabinet such as Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth of Fox News. It also would leave an opening for senator in Florida.

It’s best to watch without any further ado:

Jennings’ playful attempt to endorse “real American” pro wrestling great Hulk Hogan to replace Rubio turned the GOP pundit into the news media’s version of a wrestling heel.

Jennings pulled open his sports coat to reveal a Hulkamania T-shirt. “What you gonna do, Chuck Schumer, when Hulkamania runs wild on you, brother?” he said to the Democratic New York senator.

Hogan tore off his shirt in a stunt to support Trump at the Republican National Convention and later joked about body-slamming Kamala Harris.

Our jaw hurt from gritting our teeth through Jennings’ cringe routine and others felt the same way.

“They really think this shit is a joke,” one person on X, formerly Twitter, wrote.
