Scarlett Johansson is fine 'dying in the first 5 minutes' of“ Jurassic World”: 'I can get eaten by whatever!'

Life has found a way for Scarlett Johansson to visit Jurassic World.

The actress confirmed in a recent Comicbook.com interview that she will star in the series’ untitled fourth installment after a literal decade of pitching herself to the franchise in a variety of wacky roles.

“I’ve been trying to get into this franchise in any possible way for over 10 years,” Johansson explained to the outlet. “I’m like, 'I'll die in the first five minutes! I can get eaten by whatever! I'll do the craft service!' I'll do anything for it. The fact that it's happened in this way, at this time, just is actually unbelievable. I can't believe it."

Johansson is no stranger to holding down a tentpole franchise — she starred as one of the original six Avengers, after all — but her love for the original Jurassic Park was what sealed the deal. “It's one of the first films I remember seeing in the theater,” she recalled. “I remember seeing it so vividly. It was like life-changing. It was mind-blowing. I cannot express how excited I am."

Earlier this year, it was announced that Universal Pictures was developing a new Jurassic World film written by David Koepp, who previously penned Jurassic Park as well as its 1997 sequel, The Lost World. The film, which is directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, The Creator), is separate from the previous Jurassic World trilogy starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.

"The script is so incredible," Johansson added. "David Koepp wrote it. He returned after like 30 years to write the script. He's so passionate about it, which is so awesome."

Joining Johansson on the adventure is Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey, who has also been tapped to play an undisclosed role. “I mean it’s mind-blowing and it’s brilliant. I remember going to see Jurassic Park with my family," he said on The Tonight Show last month. “It’s history."
