SAS Australia: Honey Badger shows off dramatic weight loss

Former Bachelor star Nick 'Honey Badger' Cummins has shown off his staggering weight loss after completing the gruelling SAS Australia course.

Taking to Instagram, Nick, who was one of only three celebrities to make it through the challenge, shared photos of himself before leaving for the show and after he finished filming revealing a huge 10kg difference.

"Went into SAS ready for battle, left SAS looking like a lollipop," he jokingly wrote. "Dropped 10kgs over 14 days. Food deprivation made the experience multiple times harder, especially when enduring the cold."

"Ps: don’t take a sword to a gun fight," he joked, noting his costume in the before photo.

SAS star Ollie Ollerton commented on the post, "SAS weight loss programme! Could be a side hustle here."

"I’ve been trying to find a way to be ripped by Christmas, cheers for this cob! Problem solved," one follower joked.

"Wow that’s a lot to go through in only 14 days!!" another shocked fan added.

"Holy s**t!" someone else added.

Nick passed the course alongside Merrick Watts and Sabrina Frederick, in a shocking twist, James Magnussen, who also completed the course, didn't pass.

The former rugby star revealed he was forced to undergo shoulder surgery after his participation on the show.

"I was told by doctors, friends and family not to take part in the series, in the selection process, due to the health of my shoulder and the potential permanent damages, if I was to go an attempt that," he said earlier this month.

"However, I do believe in the saying 'take the risk or lose the change' so I had a crack at it, and I believe the growth from that was unbelievable."

"Pain is temporary, but regret lasts forever," he added.

In the final episode of the show, Nick shared his heartbreaking reason for taking part in the series, saying he wanted to build up his "resilience" after learning of his father's terminal cancer diagnosis.

"I remember the phone call from Dad, and he said, 'I've got terminal cancer, and I've got a couple of years.'"

He revealed one of his most shameful moments was telling his dad to "F off" when he tried to help the sports star out of a "dark space".

"For me, when I was 13, I was going through a pretty tough time at school. Gangs and stuff … death threats," Nick said.

"I was trying to handle it and my old man tried to help me. I was in a dark space and I told him to F off.

"Because, his brother was murdered, stabbed. And I didn’t want him to go through anything like that – but I added much more pain onto that when I told him that. And he didn’t flog me, which made it even worse.

"And now he’s got terminal cancer. And I think that situation has driven me through my career to work harder to try prove to him that I’m deserving of his love. And I just wanna make that happen before it’s too late."
