Samantha Armytage announces exciting addition: 'Meet our new girls'
Former Sunrise star Samantha Armytage has welcomed some new members to her farm family.
She swapped the bright lights of the Sunrise studio for the countryside and it seems like things on the farm are busier than ever for former TV presenter Samantha Armytage.
The 46-year-old, who married husband Richard Lavender on New Year’s Eve in 2020, took to her Instagram account yesterday to reveal there have been some exciting additions to her farm family.
“Meet our new ‘girls’,” Sam captioned a snap, showing the six new chickens she’s welcomed into the fold.
She went on to reveal that she’s named six of them and they all have the surname ‘Brown’.
They go by Chastity Brown, Millie - Bobbie Brown, Capability Brown, Tina Brown and Sam’s husband named the last one, calling it Brownie.

Sam has embraced a new way of life since moving to the Southern Highlands regional NSW farm two years ago.
Speaking to TV WEEK, Sam said: ''It's just so lovely here.”
"And I have to let you know I'm very capable on the farm – I'm no princess! I get my hands dirty.''
In 2021, Sam shocked viewers when she announced she was switching the bright lights of the Sunrise desk for life in the countryside.
At the time, she explained that she wanted to "take a break and find some peace and calm" after a difficult six months and now she’s said that while it was a huge gamble, it worked out perfectly.
In an interview with The Australian Women’s Weekly, Samantha was asked what her greatest achievement in her life has been, with the star answering: “Rolling the dice and choosing happiness and peace, over a big job.”
On her final day on Sunrise, Sam hit out at the 'snarkiness' and 'bullying' she had faced during her time as host and in the interview, she said the best advice she’s ever received was “that people who bully you, are usually jealous; it doesn't matter whether your 16, or 46”.
However, the allure of the TV studio was apparently never far from Sam's eyes, with the star quitting her podcast, Something To Talk About, and becoming the new host of the Farmer Wants A Wife dating show in 2023.
