I'll be the first to admit that I'm a sucker for the grocery store bakery section. Sure, I love from-scratch baked goods as much as the next person, but you can't tell me that boxed brownies or a pre-made pie aren't as delicious as they are convenient. So, yes, I will always peruse the bakery section—especially at Sam's Club.

Not only do I know that Sam's bakery items are high-quality and fresh, but they're also the perfect option for feeding a crowd. No gathering is complete without a cookie or cupcake tray—and don't even get me started on the fancy cakes and pastries you can find (and easily pass off as homemade).

When it comes to bakery items I'll always buy instead of making myself, bread is at the top of the list. It could be as simple as a deli roll for hot sausage sandwiches or as special as the mushroom-stuffed bread I can only find at DeLallo's Italian Marketplace in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, but there will always be fresh-made bread in my buggy.

That's why when I saw Sam's Club's newest bakery offering, Fire Roasted Tomato Focaccia Bread, I knew it would be a must-buy on my next trip to the club store.

Sam's Club

Sam’s new Member’s Mark focaccia layers fire-roasted Puglia tomatoes, rich mozzarella, and Mexican cheese. The sweet, caramelized tomatoes mingle with the savory cheeses and earthy rosemary-infused focaccia for the perfect blend of flavor and texture.

Customers say that, when warmed, the bread has a deliciously crispy texture, and the hefty helping of cheese and tomatoes creates a melty, gooey topping that’s present in every bite.

It's not just customers who love the new focaccia—even Sam's Club execs have raved about it. A corporate communications manager at Walmart, Sam's parent company, told Allrecipes he tried the bread during recipe testing, which was "amazing."

He also shared a hot tip from Sam's head chef, who recommends pairing the bread with either the Member's Mark Spinach Artichoke Dip or Member's Mark Jalapeño Artichoke Dip and Spread. Serve the dip hot or cold for added flavor.

The Fire Roasted Tomato Focaccia Bread is available at all clubs nationwide now, and it costs just $6.98 per loaf. Sam's confirmed that the bread is an "everyday item," meaning it's a permanent offering year-round.

Between the amazing Member's Mark products, Sam's Club exclusives, Instant Savings deals, and new bakery items, our shopping list gets longer by the minute.
