Who Is Sadie Robertson's Husband? All About Christian Huff (Including the Moment the “Duck Dynasty Star” Knew He Was ’the One’)
The former TV star and entrepreneur married in 2019
From the beginning, Sadie Robertson knew that her husband, Christian Huff, was “the one” for her.
The couple wed in November 2019, almost a year and a half after they first met. They said “I do” in a romantic backyard wedding at the Robertson family ranch. In the five years they’ve been married, Robertson and Huff have welcomed two children together: daughter Honey James Huff in May 2021, followed by daughter Haven Belle Huff in May 2023.
When asked what she loves most about Christian, Robertson told PEOPLE, “There’s so many things about him. I love his adventurous spirit in life [and] how much my family loves him.”
Most importantly, the Duck Dynasty alum said she was thankful to have married her best friend. “Christian is so kind and so affirming of who I am as a person. He makes me a lot stronger. I just feel like equally, we make each other better when we’re together," Robertson added.
In honor of their fifth wedding anniversary in November 2024, Huff posted a tribute to his wife on Instagram, calling himself “the luckiest person alive.”
So who is Sadie Robertson’s husband? Here's everything to know about Christian Huff and his relationship with the former TV star.
He is an entrepreneur
Huff earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, management and operations from Auburn University in 2020, per his LinkedIn page. A few years later, he launched 4:8 Men, a fitness program that prioritizes building “a strong body and a strong faith” in 2024.
“Christian Huff harnesses his passion for faith, family and fitness to help you train physically and spiritually ... be encouraged as we work together to live a life worthy of the one God calls us to,” reads his company website.
In addition to building “workout devotionals,” Huff hosts The 4:8 Men Podcast, where he interviews celebrity guests and dives more in-depth about the intersection of fitness and faith.
They met in 2018
Robertson met Huff while crab hunting with friends during a trip to Florida in July 2018. They were introduced by their siblings, who were already friends.
“I knew about Christian, but I just knew him as my sister’s [Bella Robertson] friend who I’d never met, so I didn’t think much into it,” Robertson told PEOPLE in November 2019.
At the end of the night, the pair exchanged Instagram handles, only for Robertson to discover that Huff had sent her a DM two years prior.
“I don’t get messages on my Instagram unless I follow that person, and when I followed him a message popped up that he had tried to send me two years ago that I never saw,” she explained.
Over the next two months, they continued talking and getting to know each other before their first official date. But by then, Robertson knew Huff was "the one."
They got engaged in June 2019
After nine months of dating, Huff proposed to Robertson on her family’s Louisiana property during a joint birthday celebration (they share the same birthday week) with friends and extended family.
Robertson was happily surprised by the day’s turn of events, though she had a small inkling Huff would get down on his knee.
“I knew that we were getting engaged soon because I knew he had talked to my dad [Willie Robertson] and we had talked about it, but I did not know it was coming at the party. It was the most perfect thing ever!” she told PEOPLE at the time.
Robertson said Huff was “so thoughtful and so intentional [with] every detail,” and went out of his way to integrate “the things that he knows I feel most loved” by. That included a video montage of their favorite memories together and handwritten letters from their relatives.
In addition, Huff designed her engagement ring with special attention. "It just blew me away!” she added.
They married in November 2019
Robertson married Huff on Nov. 25, 2019, on her family’s Louisiana property.
The “fun and unique” ceremony was officiated by Pastor Louie Giglio on a tennis court that had been turned into a romantic garden with fairy lights and fresh flowers. More than 600 guests were in attendance, and they exchanged traditional and personal vows in front of them.
“Christian and I both love to play tennis and every time we’re home, we play tennis on this court. So we’re like, ‘Well, what if we transformed the court?’ ” Robertson told PEOPLE about the location.
The nighttime reception featured a giant dance floor and “a big Louisiana feast,” complete with a milkshake station.
For the latter half of the night, Robertson had a quick outfit change, swapping her wedding dress from Kleinfeld’s for a “fairytale”-like gown designed by Sherri Hill.
They share two children together
Robertson and Huff are parents to daughters Honey James and Haven Belle.
In October 2020, the couple announced they would be parents for the first time. “SCREAMING WITH EXCITEMENT TO SHARE THIS NEWS! Baby we already adore you," Robertson wrote on Instagram, alongside a sweet photo of her and Huff holding their sonogram. The following month, the pair shared they were pregnant with a baby girl.
Later that spring, Robertson revealed their daughter’s moniker, Honey James, inspired by the Bible passage Proverbs 16:24: “Gracious words are like honey, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.” According to the Live Original creator, she and Christian read it together when they first started dating, and it resonated with her.
“I've always loved this verse. Its made me have a love for the idea of all that honey is. It's a sweet delicacy with a strong healing component,” she wrote on Instagram. Robertson and Huff welcomed Honey James on May 11, 2021.
Fast forward to November 2022, the pair shared via a joint Instagram post that “another little miracle” would be joining their family.
Huff jokingly confirmed that he was “team girl” by donning a pink shirt and shoes during their sex reveal party — and his intuition proved right. Haven Belle was born on May 22, 2023.
"Haven has brought a touch of heaven," Robertson captioned a carousel of photos from the hospital, including a heartfelt snap of her and Huff cradling Haven moments after delivery. "Christian and I could not be happier and more grateful. Soaking in every single moment."
Since then, Robertson and Huff have shared different moments with their kids online, including celebrating birthdays, the holidays and daily moments.
He and Sadie connected over their shared faith
There’s “a million things” Robertson loves about Huff, but his relationship with faith first drew her in — and it’s what fueled their relationship forward.
“Everybody knows my faith is really important to me and his faith is the most important thing to him, so I think having Jesus at the center is really what makes our relationship work. And it makes it exciting because we’re equally as passionate about this hope we have,” she told PEOPLE.
