Sabrina Carpenter Winks at Rumors She's Wearing a Wig During Her “Short 'n' Sweet” Tour
Social media users have been in a frenzy over the 25-year-old pop star's voluminous blonde locks
Sabrina Carpenter is addressing her hairy situation.
The 25-year-old pop star took to Instagram to acknowledge fan speculation that she wears a wig onstage while performing her Short 'n' Sweet concert tour.
On Sunday, Oct. 6, Carpenter pulled a cheeky move, reposting a video from Hacks star Megan Stalter in which the actress pokes fun at all the discourse around the pop star's hair. "Woman tells life partner about Sabrina Carpenter's hair piece," she captioned the parody.
"Babe, babe, I can't tell if she's wearing a hair piece," Stalter says in the clip, looking off-camera. "No, I can't tell if its a wig or a hair piece."
She continued, "Cause I thought, she's so hot from the concerts she's probably wearing a wig, but the bangs look so real so I was like maybe it's just a hair piece."
Since Carpenter kicked off her tour on Sept. 23, her onstage hairstyles have sparked rumors that her voluminous blonde locks are actually a wig.
"Is Sabrina Carpenter wearing a wig?" TikTok creator @stay.in.the.know captioned a clip that's racked up 2 million views. In the video, the Girl Meets World alum dances to her song "Good Graces."

In the comments, users were quick to theorize that Carpenter might be wearing wigs to protect her real hair throughout the tour.
"This is either extensions (most likely) or it's something called a falle that is like half a wig and it starts right after her bangs. All this is for protecting her hair for her long tour!" one offered.
Another said, "I think she is wearing one, but that's ok! It protects her real hair from getting damaged!"
Carpenter's tour started in Columbus, Ohio and will hit cities across the U.S. and Canada including New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Toronto, Austin and more. Her album, Short n’ Sweet, debuted on Friday, Aug. 23.

The star also recently clapped back at allegations that she doesn't sing live.
Recently, a TikTok user commented on another person's post inquiring about their concert experience and whether Carpenter actually sings live, per Pop Base.
The comment read, "Hate to say it but 30% lip singing 30% backing track 40% singing."
The "Espresso singer" quickly replied, commenting, "I sing live at every show 100%. Would you like to speak to my audio engineers?"
